George Washington Carver
George Washington Carver was a African American teacher ,artist, scientist and botanist. He was born a slave. He taught at Tuskegee and helped black students and showed farmers how to use soil better. He experimented with plants and soil and found over 100 ways to us peanuts and sweet potatoes. He helped millions of people he learned to read at age of ten he designed a school. He made things to help farmers with alternative crops like peanuts.
He mentored children. He was a role model for African Americans. In 1941 time news dubbed him the black Leonardo. Without him we would not have peanut butter and peanut oil and yummy Virginia peanuts. He turned down 100,000 dollars a year because he wanted to teach people and 100,000 dollars a year then was worth 1million dollars now.
